Pompeii fresco

This faux fresco is in our showroom. It is based upon "Lena's Garden", a 2000 year old fresco uncovered in Pompeii. Although not a true fresco, it is a convincing faux -- and the stone block surrounding it has become one of our more popular finishes. as well. A large full-color photograph of this mural was featured in an article in Houston House & Home called "Plaster and Pigment" about fresco techniques.
